Bio

Ashager Araro is an Ethiopian-Israeli activist and influencer who uses her significant presence on social media to speak on crucial topics and shed light on the diversity of the Jewish people. She previously served in the Israel Defense Forces, rising to the rank of Lieutenant in the prestigious Paratroopers Brigade, and is now a Captain in the Reserves.

Alongside her activism and public speaking, Araro helped build the Battae center for Ethiopian Israeli heritage. She also received the "Light of Israel" award in 2021 by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for her work.
