Bio

Steven Windmueller is the Rabbi Alfred Gottschalk Emeritus Professor of Jewish Communal Service and former Dean of the Los Angeles Campus of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. He served for ten years as the Executive Director of the Community Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, and for twelve years as a federation director in upstate New York. Dr. Windmueller was also a consultant and program resource specialist to the American Jewish Committee, and has appeared on nationally syndicated media offering commentaries on Jewish public affairs matters. He has written extensively on the Middle East, Jewish public and civic affairs, and global social trends, and has been published in The Los Angeles Times and The LA Daily News, Newsweek, the Washington Post, and eJewishphilanthropy.com among other publications.
