Bio
Art Shamsky is a former Major League Baseball player, who played from 1965 to 1972 for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland A’s. Mr. Shamsky was a part of the "Miracle Mets" which won their first World Championship in 1969. Following his retirement, he became a sought-after sports broadcaster and commentator and authored The Magnificent Seasons analyzing the first-time championship wins of the New York Jets, New York Mets, and New York Knicks in 1969 and 1970. He previously managed the Israeli baseball team, the Modi’in Miracle in 2007 and he continues to support the Israel Association of Baseball. His book “After the Miracle” The Lasting Brotherhood of the ’69 Mets is being released March 19th.
