Miri Eisin served as deputy head of the IDF's combat intelligence corps, an intelligence officer in combat units, the head of military research departments, and became one of a select few women to achieve the rank of colonel. She was appointed as the Israeli government spokesperson during the Second Lebanon War, and later became the prime minister’s international media advisor. She teaches at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, where she lectures on Middle Eastern geopolitics, the Israeli-Arab conflict, Israeli decision-making, women in Israeli society, and Israel’s intelligence community. She is a popular commentator in print and broadcast media.
