ENSURING NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY – NOW!

HaShomer HaChadash is providing essential volunteer services to farmers all across Israel whose farms would not be tended if it weren’t for these volunteers. Many foreign workers have left the country, and local farmers were killed on October 7th or later called up to reserve duty, making HaShomer HaChadash volunteers essential to maintaining Israel’s food security.

 This is the time to support the farmers and ensure that every vegetable and fruit picked reaches the Israeli market and that no farmer is left alone.

HASHOMER HACHADASH: EVERYDAY WORK 

JNF-USA affiliate HaShomer HaChadash is a volunteer recruitment organization dedicated to safeguarding the land and farms in the Negev and Galilee and upholding Zionist ideals on which Israel was founded. Volunteers watch 47 Farmland posts that help protect over 145,000 acres of farmland from illegal seizures, thefts, arson, and vandalism, all while teaching love of the land to over 11,000 youth annually.

Funding Opportunities

FARMLAND DRONE: $1,800

Sponsor an unmanned, remote-control drone used to safeguard agricultural land from crime and provide valuable data during emergencies. 

ADOPT A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT:  $2,500

Support the cost of one student for one year at Adam V’Adama, including curriculum, educational counseling, travel fees, food, and accommodation. 

FIELDCRAFT PRE-ARMY TRAINING:  $3,600

Purchase training services for 2 young leadership communities and cultivate a new generation of leaders.

YOUTH RANCH:  $5,000

Establish a youth ranch in the Negev or Galilee to benefit the local community and provide education on the importance of local agriculture and produce.
