Close your eyes and imagine waking up in a beautiful Israeli hotel perched on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. You step out onto your balcony, breathe in the sweet air, and remember today isn’t just another day of travel—this is your Israel experience.
You’re about to embark on the trip of a lifetime with Jewish National Fund‑USA, a journey designed not only to show you Israel’s physical beauty, but to connect you with its people, its spirit, and its stories. Each moment is crafted to inspire and move you.
Below is just one sample day in an itinerary filled with discovery—an invitation to experience Israel and make lifelong friends. For more information, visit jnf.org/travel.
8:00 AM – Arise and Enjoy Breakfast in Your Luxury Hotel
When you arrive at the hotel’s restaurant, your group is already gathering for breakfast, surrounded by a stunning display of global culinary delights. A fellow traveler catches your eye, smiles, and gestures for you to join. As you return the smile and make your way to the table, it strikes you how quickly this group of Jewish National Fund-USA travelers—strangers just yesterday morning at Ben Gurion Airport—has begun to feel like friends.
12:00 PM - Joy, Inclusion, and a Wheelchair‑Accessible Winepress
At a Jewish National Fund–USA–supported center dedicated to inclusive outdoor education, your group joins a hands-on activity alongside children and young adults with disabilities. Together, you gather around Smadar’s Wine Press, a fully wheelchair-accessible space designed so everyone can take part in the winemaking experience.
Gripping the handles of a giggling young boy’s wheelchair, you gently push him forward, crushing grapes beneath the wheels. He lets out a delighted squeal, a lovely sound among the symphony of laughing children, caregivers, and fellow travelers, stomping, stepping, rolling on red grapes around you in this wheelchair-accessible winepress. You’ve never seen anything like it.
Earlier, you learned how Jewish National Fund-USA supports efforts to make nature accessible to people with disabilities. Smadar’s Wine Press is one of the many initiatives ensuring that people with limited mobility can fully engage with nature, creativity, and community.
But it isn’t until you slip off your shoes, meet the eager, bubbly group of participants with disabilities, and roll your new friend into the winepress that the impact truly sinks in. Joining the laughter around you, you marvel at a group of joyful wine pressers, proving that disability is no barrier on the path to connection, inclusion, and even fine wine.
4:00 PM - Dessert First, History Next: Akko’s Ancient Market
The moment you taste the “malabi,” you want to know where this dessert has been all your life. Seated with your group at the Malabi House, a celebrated dessert shop in Akko, you relish the dessert’s dreamy milk and cream base and the rosewater syrup—you suddenly understand why critics rank it among the best in the country.
Back outside, you’re swept into the bustle of the Shuk Ha-Amami, the colorful market lined with stands selling fragrant spices, pastries and sweets, clothes, and more. Earlier, at the Jewish National Fund-USA Information Center, you learned about Akko’s rich medieval past and the story of the Shuk Ha-Amami, adding new depth to the experience. As you walk the ancient stone pathways to meet the rest of your cohort for dinner, it feels as though you’re walking through time.
9:00 PM – Canaan Hotel, Tzfat
Nestled beneath the hotel sheets, you take stock of the day: exhilarating, rewarding, and filled with moments that strengthened your bond to your Jewish homeland and Zionist identity. In the days ahead, you’ll relax on the beaches of Tel Aviv, float in the Dead Sea, and pray at the Kotel. Still, you feel a pull toward this deeper side of Israel you’ve discovered through Jewish National Fund-USA. All it took was saying yes—and you leave with treasured memories, lasting friendships, and a connection to Israel that remains long after the journey ends. This, you realize, is the trip of a lifetime.
