Bio

Since co-founding Jewish National Fund partner HaShomer HaChadash in 2007, Yoel Zilberman has cultivated a network of over 38,500 volunteers providing agricultural assistance and safeguarding farms and ranches at 70 locations across the Negev and Galilee.  Under Mr. Zilberman’s leadership, the organization has formed partnerships with local municipalities and authorities in protecting over 191,000 acres of at-risk land from theft, vandalism and eventual abandonment.  By connecting volunteers to the land of Israel through education and social action, Mr. Zilberman has helped foster a more just, caring, and mutually responsible society.
