Mayor Alon Davidi is a public servant who has been dedicated to the city of Sderot since helping to found it. He helped set up the Sderot Defense Council, which has lobbied for much-needed funding on behalf of the area’s residents, who face hundreds of rockets and mortars launched at the city. Jewish National Fund partnered with the city to build Israel’s largest secure indoor playground and community center, bringing peace of mind and a much-needed sense of normalcy to the children and parents of Sderot.
