Bio

Avi Wortzman is CEO of southern Israel’s ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran Rehabilitation Village, a multifaceted facility that provides young adults with multiple disabilities the opportunity to live a rich and productive life within a safe environment. In the 1990s, he was an immigrant absorption activist for Jews making aliyah from Ethiopia and the former Soviet Union. In the education arena, he was director general of the MiBereishit Movement, initiated the Masa Israel Journey program, was CEO of the HaKotel Hesder Yeshiva, and founded the Beit Moriah network. In the government sector, he worked as an advisor to the Israeli minister of construction and housing for Negev development.
