Bio

Megan Turner-Chernia is originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas and made Aliyah to Be’er Sheva, Israel in 2012. She has a Master’s in social work and is completing her PhD at Ben Gurion University where she studies the effects of racism on new immigrants in Israel’s periphery. She began working with EretzIr, the non-profit that runs the Lauder Employment Center, at the height of the 2020 coronavirus outbreak and is now the Lauder Center's Director of Partnerships and JNF-USA Liaison. She recently married the love of her life, Yagel, and they live in Be'er Sheva with their two rescue dogs.
