Bio
As Director of International Development of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, a Jewish National Fund-USA affiliate, David Lehrer passionately advances environmental cooperation between Israel and its neighbors in the Middle East. His research studies the cost of nature conservation in Israel. Previously, Lehrer leant his insights as a business consultant for kibbutzim and small businesses, and he has twice served as an emissary for the Jewish Agency for Israel in the United States. Lehrer is also a founder of the Alliance for Middle East Peace. Mr. Lehrer is a member of Kibbutz Ketura since 1981 and served as the Executive Director of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies from 2001 until August 2021.
