Disabilities Task Force Mission

arrow-down

AN EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE ISRAEL'S INNOVATIVE DISABILITY INCLUSION WORK IN ACTION & LEARN HOW IT'S CHANGING THE WORLD.

May 25 – 29, 2025

Mission Highlights:

• Visit our friends at Special in Uniform and discover how their program integrates youth with special needs into the Israeli Defense Forces.

• Meet the people at ADI Negev – Nahalat Eran, a rehabilitative center located in the Gaza Envelope, serving those with cognitive & physical disabilities and gain insights on how they are navigating the challenges of the ongoing war.

• Learn how therapeutic horseback riding is used as a tool for improving the lives of people with different impairments while at the Red Mountain Therapeutic Riding Center in the Arava. Hear how the center is serving the broader population since October 7; evacuated communities, displaced survivors, and IDF reservists.

• See how LOTEM enables those with disabilities to maximize their enjoyment of nature by offering special outdoor activities such as accessible hikes and heritage sites, nature clubs, and field trips.

• Immerse yourself in a unique dining experience at the “BlackOut” Restaurant in Jaffa, where you will gain a profound insight into the world of individuals with permanent blindness by dining in total darkness.

• Join our Volunteer Mission for a meaningful morning of volunteering, either helping out on a farm or assisting in the cleanup of a destroyed Kibbutz or community.
